Friday night, July 26, 2013 saw Reginald Cyntje playing Westminster Presbyterian Church's weekly Jazz Night in Southwest, to celebrate the release of his latest recording, "Love Connection." Appearing with Cyntje were pianist Allyn Johnson, bassist Herm Burney, saxophonist Lyle Link, vibraphonist Warren Wolf, drummer C.V. Dashiell, and vocalist Christie Dashiell, all terrific musicians in their own right. The band was tight, the music blazing, and the crowd, as always, appreciative. In addition to these images, I walked away with a copy of the new recording, which I highly recommend.
